I would like to one day start a small home-based business. I do know the target audience would be moms and children, most likely, and I'm sure sites such as Facebook would be a good starting place. However, when it comes to creating personal websites and blogging I'm at a loss. I'm a small town girl who is more accustom to face to face sales tactics. I am aware, that while this may be a good starting point, it isn't going to have the same impact as social media will. So what about people like me?

I have read different posts and comments associated with each post and I've noticed that the subject matter tends to be directed more so towards knowledgeable individuals/teams. What about people who are not familiar with the process? Is there not an easier way that doesn't consume all of your time that should also be directed towards the product itself? To read some of the posts it seems easy enough but it does take time to follow through with and maintain each of these steps. I'm sure each step is vital to a good business but without a social media team how does one person have time to invest in this. Where's the social media how to guide for dummies? I think that would be best suited for me; atleast for a trial period. Perhaps a few extra people to run that department would be ideal also.

Those really are great tips for anyone doing their own marketing. For a lot of people that's not really practical, though, especially in the small business area, where talent and time are at a premium. Still, using this as a guide to gauge the social media marketing services of a firm that could be outsourced to is an excellent idea. These 5 steps are rational and measurable for success, which are 2 big pieces of any good marketing campaign.
